About Dr. Shah

With a diverse range of experience in clinical pharmacy, Ami Shah, PharmD, BCCCP, has had the privilege of contributing to various healthcare settings. As a Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit & Heart/Lung Transplant Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Northshore University Medical Center, she focused on developing medical strategies and providing educational seminars on cardiovascular management. 

During her tenure as a Clinical Cardiovascular Pharmacy & Investigational Study Manager at Mount Sinai Heart, she led concept development, executed clinical research and supervised junior pharmacists. Additionally, as a Critical Care Pharmacy Specialist at UPMC Health Care System, she piloted the expansion of pharmacotherapy services in intensive care units.

Dr. Shah's time as a Critical Care Pharmacy Manager at Mount Sinai Morningside Medical Center involved leading interdisciplinary teams, maintaining medication policies and launching an education program. As a Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs Intern at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, she gained valuable experience in managing phase I oncology and ophthalmology studies. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to safe and effective medication management, research and interdisciplinary collaboration.
